Baloch Students Council Raises Concern Over Alleged Enforced Disappearance of Two Students

The Baloch Students Council (BSC) Islamabad has expressed serious concern over the alleged enforced disappearance of its member Rubina Baloch and student Bahram Baloch, calling for their immediate and safe recovery.

In a statement, the council said that Rubina Baloch, a member of the BSC and a fourth-semester BS Mass Communication student, along with Bahram Baloch, was allegedly taken from Islamabad on 2 July. The organisation claims that the whereabouts of both students remain unknown.

The council further stated that incidents of raids, intimidation, and harassment targeting Baloch students in Islamabad have reportedly increased over the past week, creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among students from Balochistan studying in the capital.

Condemning the alleged disappearances, the BSC demanded that the authorities provide information about the whereabouts and condition of both students and ensure their immediate and safe release if they are in official custody.

The organisation also urged human rights organisations, the legal community, political parties, civil society groups, and student organisations to raise their voices against enforced disappearances and the alleged targeting of students. It called for collective efforts to uphold human rights, the rule of law, and fundamental freedoms.

At the time of publication, Aajoi News has not independently verified the claims, and no official statement had been issued by the relevant authorities regarding the reported disappearances.
