BLA Claims Control of Pakistani Military Camps in Ziarat, Says 13 Personnel Killed and Weapons Seized
Ziarat, Balochistan: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a large-scale military operation in the Ziarat district, stating that its fighters temporarily took control of two Pakistani military camps, killed 13 security personnel, seized weapons and ammunition, and destroyed the camps before withdrawing.
In a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group said the operation targeted military camps located at Kharwari Baba in Ziarat. According to the statement, fighters surrounded the camps from multiple directions and engaged Pakistani forces in what it described as close-range fighting.
The BLA claims that nine security personnel were killed during the initial assault, while the remaining troops retreated from the area, leaving behind weapons, ammunition, communication equipment, and other military supplies.
The group further alleged that after taking control of the camps, its fighters collected military equipment and set both camps on fire before leaving the area.
According to the statement, additional BLA units established temporary checkpoints on nearby roads and later targeted military and police reinforcement convoys arriving in the area. The organization claims that four more security personnel were killed and several others injured during those attacks, while military vehicles were also damaged.
The BLA said the operation demonstrates its capability to conduct coordinated attacks against Pakistani security forces and stated that similar operations would continue.
Pakistani authorities had not officially responded to the BLA's claims at the time of publication, and the reported casualties and details of the operation could not be independently verified.
