BLA discloses information on four fighters killed in clashes across Mastung, Kalat, and Panjgur

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), through its media wing Hakkal, has recently disclosed details about four fighters it claims were killed in separate clashes with Pakistani forces across Balochistan’s districts of Mastung, Kalat, and Panjgur. The group identified these fighters as part of its ongoing struggle and shared specific information about their backgrounds and roles within the organization.

Among those named was Hussnain Shahwani, also known as Maqbool. He was described as a camp commander and an experienced field operative who hailed from Killi Kark in Mastung. According to the BLA, Shahwani was killed on June 1 during a confrontation in Kardegap, Mastung, where the group was engaged in defending their positions against advancing Pakistani military forces.

Shahwani’s association with the BLA began in October 2022, and he quickly rose through the ranks, serving on the fronts in Kalat and Mastung. The group highlighted his leadership qualities, noting that he became a camp commander and led the Fateh Squad, a specialized unit within the group. His role was vital in maintaining the BLA’s presence in key urban and highway areas in the region.

The BLA described Shahwani as an essential figure in their operations, emphasizing his participation in significant campaigns such as “Operations Herof I and Herof II.” During the latter, he reportedly led the Fateh Squad fighters on the Mastung front, contributing to the group’s offensive warfare strategy. His death was framed as a significant loss for the organization, as he was actively involved in frontline combat.

Another fighter the BLA detailed was Mohammad Riaz Nichari, alias Kaka Zaheer. He was identified as a resident of Kabo in Mastung and was said to have been killed on June 6 during clashes in Iskalko, Kalat. According to the group, Nichari joined the BLA in May 2023 and later moved to its mountain front in January 2024.

Nichari’s role within the BLA was notable; he served as a patrol commander and was involved in defending territories under the group’s control. The statement revealed that he had a prior history of detention, having spent six years in custody before joining the armed wing of the BLA. His death marked the loss of a dedicated fighter who had been actively engaged in defending BLA-held areas.

The BLA also acknowledged the deaths of two newer members, Kabeer Baloch and Abdul Rehman, who had joined the organization earlier this year. Kabeer Baloch, a resident of Mangochar in Kalat district, was trained as a soldier and deployed on the Mastung front after completing his basic military training.

Kabeer participated in clashes in Mastung and Kardegap, where the BLA claimed its fighters had successfully thwarted Pakistani military advances. He was killed in Kardegap on June 1, a loss that the group described as a blow to their operational capabilities in the region.

Abdul Rehman, another recent recruit, was identified as a resident of Tasp in Panjgur. He joined the BLA in January 2026 and was deployed on the Panjgur front. The group stated that Abdul Rehman took part in several armed engagements before being killed in early June.

His death occurred on June 3, in the Chedagi area of Panjgur, during a confrontation with Pakistani forces. The BLA portrayed these fighters as committed members of their armed struggle, emphasizing their sacrifices and highlighting their active involvement in defending Balochistan from what they described as oppressive military operations.
