My Baloch Mother
My Baloch mother,
There was a time when outsiders did not dare cast a glance toward your dignity and honor. The respect of our homes, our traditions, and our people was protected by the strength and unity of this land.
Many believe that our suffering began when others gained control over our homeland. When the sanctity of a land is violated, they argue, the pain eventually reaches every home and every family.
But my mother, do not lose hope.
Your sons and daughters continue to stand with determination, carrying the belief that dignity, honor, and justice must be protected. They believe that no force can erase the identity of a people who remain connected to their history, culture, and homeland.
No matter how difficult the times may be, many continue to draw strength from the sacrifices of those who came before them and from the resilience of the people who refuse to abandon their values.
For them, the struggle is not only about land—it is about preserving dignity, protecting future generations, and ensuring that their voices are never silenced.
And so they continue forward, believing that honor, courage, and perseverance will always be stronger than fear.
